Seemingly endless visits from out of state, barbeques, pool parties, play dates, evening bike rides, acts of service, we have had bonfires, slow, nighttime dinners that last longer than normal because of sweet guest's and dear company. Zoo visits, museums, book shopping, antique findings. This has truly been a memorable season for our family.
We also had the blessing of a huge garden that yielded enough vegetables to share and use. How wonderful it is to step outside and cut fresh lettuce for salad, pick basil and tomatoes for homemade sauce and a sprig of lavender all at once?
All of these normal, happy moments that have made up a summer have reiterated that we are finally home. God has blessed us with our place in this world, He has led us beside the cool water saying rest now for a little while.
We are thankful, for His mercies that are given each day.
